COLORADO

Jessica Martin has joined the franchising team of Payroll Vault, Greenwood Village, as director of marketing and executive project manager.

 

CONNECTICUT

The Connecticut Society of CPAs presented two Connecticut accounting educators with Educator of Excellence Awards: Ross A. Riskin, CPA/PFS, CCPS, an assistant professor of accounting and finance at Albertus Magnus College and a vice president of Riskin & Riskin PC; and Jennifer M. Oliver, CPA, a professor of business and accounting at Quinebaug Valley Community College.

 

FLORIDA

Teri M. Kaye has been appointed to the Executive Committee of Daszkal Bolton, Boca Raton. Kaye joined Daszkal Bolton as a principal in October 2010 and was named a partner in January 2012. … Debie Leonard, a shareholder with Thomas Howell Ferguson PA CPAs, Tallahassee, has received a Women to Watch Experienced Leader Award from the Florida Institute of CPAs. She sits on the Investment Policy Committee, Estate and Financial Planning Conference Committee, and the CPA Elder Planning and Support Services Committee of the institute.

ILLINOIS

Brian Pitera has joined the transactions services practice of Grant Thornton LLP, Chicago, as a principal and operations leader, while William Hickey has been named a senior manufacturing advisor in the manufacturing industry practice.

 

INDIANA

Scott Norbot has joined McGuire Sponsel, Indianapolis, as a tax consultant for the cost segregation practice, while Jamie Skerston is joing the firm as a tax consultant for the R&D tax credit practice.

KENTUCKY

Adam Campbell has joined the tax team of Dean Dorton Allen Ford PLLC in Lexington as a supervisor. 

 

LOUISIANA

Postlethwaite & Netterville APAC promoted five professionals to director: Aaron Cancienne as an audit director in New Orleans; Rodney Combs and Tommy Naquin as audit directors in Baton Rouge; and Keith Crews and Jon LeBlanc as tax directors in Baton Rouge.

MASSACHUSETTS

Marc Montpas has joined XCM Solutions LLC, Quincy, as vice president of sales. He will be responsible for building out and leading the company’s sales organization as the company broadens its market position in North America and expands into new markets and solution areas. He brings over 15 years of experience in the industry, most recently at CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business, where he served as director of strategic alliances and vertical strategy.

MINNESOTA

Ulrike Harrison has joined Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP as chief sales officer. She will lead the firm’s sales and business development organization and align sales objectives with the firm’s strategy and marketing capabilities.

MISSOURI

Kristin M. Carter has joined Central Trust Co., Springfield, as its first tax officer. … MarksNelson LLC, Kansas City, announced five new hires: Brianna Akers, Brandon Bowman, Bethany Zimbelman and Elsa Zhu have joined the firm as staff accountants, and Jon Roberts as a market research analyst.

NEW JERSEY

Darren Burton has been appointed vice chair of human resources at KPMG LLP, succeeding Bruce Pfau, who is retiring after 12 years in the position and joining the advisory practice in a senior consulting role. Burton joins KPMG from Raytheon Co., where he most recently served as vice president of HR and security.

OHIO

Christopher M. Allegretti has been re-elected to the position of managing principal and CEO of HBK CPAs & Consultants. He has been with HBK since 1985 and was named one of its principals nine years later. Allegretti is the only principal to serve as MP/CEO in HBK’s 67-year history. He was elected by a unanimous majority in 2004 and has served in the role ever since, and his next term will run through Aug. 31, 2020.

PENNSYLVANIA

Andrew D. Kehl has joined the Lancaster office of Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP as a manager in the Audit Services Group.
