PWC RELEASES TAX AND WEALTH MANAGEMENT GUIDE

New York -- Big Four firm PricewaterhouseCoopers US has released the latest edition of Managing Your Wealth: Guide to Tax and Wealth Management, the firm's annual guide aimed at helping high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners better understand and play an active role in growing and preserving their wealth.

The updated guide incorporates recent legal, economic and legislative developments affecting wealth plans, including tax changes that went into effect at the beginning of 2013. New to this year's edition is a chapter on cross-border considerations with respect to wealthy families and the global interconnectedness of economies and markets.

Like previous editions, this year's guide is supported by an online resource center that allows readers to download specific chapters or the full book and watch video interviews with PwC partners on various financial planning topics. Users also gain access to other resources regarding personal finance and wealth management.

The guide is available as a free download at www.pwc.com/us/pfs and through the PwC 365 app.

GENWORTH WEALTH MANAGEMENT GETS NEW NAME

Concord, Calif. -- Large turnkey asset manager Genworth Wealth Management, with $20 billion in assets under management, has announced a long-anticipated name change. The renaming - to AssetMark - is among the last pieces to move into place as the firm seeks to solidify its own identity following its spinoff from former parent Genworth Financial on August 30. Private equity firms Aquiline Capital Partners and Genstar Capital together paid $412.5 million for the firm.

A key reason for the rebranding was to eliminate confusion in the marketplace between the spinoff and its similarly named former parent. The firm also renamed its Genworth Financial Asset Management division as Savos Investments. And its trust company, Genworth Trust Company, is now AssetMark Trust.
