Practice Ignition honors 'Top 50 Women in Accounting' in 2019

Client engagement solution provider Practice Ignition has announced its Top 50 Women in Accounting list for 2019.

First launched on International Women's Day in 2018, the list was created to recognize female accounting professionals across the globe who promote "advocacy, change and community in their workplace and beyond," according to Practice Ignition.

Professionals were included on the list based on their video submissions, promotion of inclusivity and change in the profession, investment in future accounting professionals, and their involvement with causes both inside and outside the profession.

"There was a clear uplifting common theme amongst the submissions, which was one of inclusion," said Rebecca Mihalic, head of accounting at Practice Ignition and member of the Top 50 Women in Accounting judging panel. "These women are not aiming to promote themselves at the expense or exclusion of others — their purpose is about community and an investment in those around them and the future of our industry.”

"The future of the profession is bright with so many talented, caring and committed women putting in the work to drive progress, inclusion and technology transformation for their clients and peers," said Madeline Pratt, CEO of Fearless in Training and another member of the judging panel.
