Protiviti Subsidiary Acquires Government IT Firm

Protiviti Inc., a provider of technology risk consulting and internal audit services, announced that it has consolidated its public sector operations and that the new, wholly owned subsidiary had already made its first acquisition.

Protiviti Government Services Inc. has acquired Alexandria, Va.-based Enspier Technologies Inc. Enspier provides technology and management consulting services primarily to government organizations.

Financial terms of the deal were not released.

Enspier will retain its name, but display a tagline indicating that it is a Protiviti Government Services company. Enspier will continue to be based in Alexandria location and retain all 57 of its employees.

Bradford Brown will serve as managing director and head of Protiviti Government Services. In the early 1990s, Brown served as chief counsel for technology at the Department of Commerce. The subsidiary will be based in Vienna, Va.

Protiviti itself is a wholly owned subsidiary of Robert Half International Inc.
