QuickBooks prices increase

Starting in July, Intuit is raising the price for some of its key QuickBooks products, and discontinuing the wholesale discount, which will be replaced by a new discount program.

In a letter to ProAdvisors, Ariege Misherghi and Ted Callahan, who lead the small business and self-employed group at Intuit, explained that the price increases will fund more experts on the company’s accountant support team, improved caller recognition, and expanded expert knowledge across payments and payroll to help accountants get quick and reliable answers.

The QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Online Payroll, and QuickBooks Time (formerly TSheets) wholesale discount will be discontinued for new subscriptions, upgrades, and downgrades on July 15, 2021. Replacing this program is the new ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing program, through which discounts will apply for new customers, upgrades, and downgrades added through QuickBooks Online Accountant beginning July 15, 2021. This program will also offer Intuit’s only ongoing discount for QuickBooks.

Intuit will continue to honor the 50% off wholesale discount for subscriptions enrolled before the launch of the ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing.

There are no changes to QuickBooks Online Self-Employed or Simple Start pricing.
