Staffing and HR services company Randstad US has released its annual salary guides, including one for the finance and accounting sector.
The salary guides highlight today’s most in-demand jobs, including senior accountant; cost accountant; and finance (financial planning and analysis) manager.
For a senior accountant the average starting salary typically ranges from $61,000 to $85,000, although that varies by company size and area of expertise.
The average starting salary for a cost accountant typically ranges from $51,000 to $74,000, although cost accountants in management positions can expect to earn as much as $85,000 to $135,000. For a finance manager or financial planning and analysis manager, the average starting salary ranges from $82,000 to $130,000, varying again by company size and responsibilities.
