Rehmann Group Closes Pair of Michigan Deals

Saginaw, Mich. – As planned, the Rehmann Group has completed the acquisition of two Michigan firms -- Farmington Hills-based Boyes, Wright, Pittman & Co. PLLC and Traverse City-based Weber, Curtin & Pahssen LLC.Financial terms of the deal, which became effective Jan 1, were not disclosed.

The Rehmann Group already employs over 450 professionals in 12 cities across the state. Boyes, Wright, Pittman & Co will add another 47 professionals and annual revenues of $6 million, while Weber, Curtin, Pahssen employs 25 professionals. Both firms will operate under the Rehmann name.

Rehmann Group chief executive Steve Kelly said that the acquisition will give his firm more than 150 employees in the metro Detroit and northern Michigan markets, better positioning the business to serve midsized companies. Kelly also said that the merger will bring together an alignment of partners with strengths in Rehmann’s core industry segments, including manufacturing, government/nonprofit, health care, service business, retail/distribution, real estate, international and closely-held companies.

“Companies have been looking for alternatives in the professional services marketplace, and we believe we are now that strong alternative with the mergers,” said Kelly, in a statement.
