RGL Acquires Impact Forensics

RGL Forensic Accountants & Consultants has acquired Impact Forensics, a computer forensics and electronic discovery firm based in Chicago.

RGL said the deal would improve its ability to more broadly deliver litigation technology services to attorneys. The firm already has labs in Chicago and London and provides services in digital evidence recovery, forensic data analysis and disclosure management services.

Impact Forensics owner Jeffrey L. Hartman will join RGL's forensic technology practice as director of business development. He has over 20 years of experience in overseeing the application of computer forensics, intellectual property protection, and electronic evidence recovery.

Also joining RGL are computer forensic professionals Chad M. Gough and Douglas A. Morris. Gough specializes in electronic discovery and has provided expert witness testimony in cases involving fraud and embezzlement, insider trading, employee misconduct and corporate espionage cases. Morris is trained to investigate cyber-crime and has experience conducting large-scale computer crime investigations.

In addition, former Impact employee and retired FBI agent Carl P. Florez will consult on more complex computer forensics cases.
