A pair of accounting firms located just outside of Providence, R.I., have announced a merger, effective Jan. 1.

The firm of Pirolli, Deller & Conaty PC will become part of crosstown Warwick, R.I.-based rival, DiSanto, Priest & Co. CPAs. Financial terms were not disclosed.

DiSanto Priest itself was formed just three years ago -- the result of a trio of Rhode Island firms merging. The new combined firm will yield a firm employing 33 CPAs and more than 75 total employees.

Pirolli, Deller & Conaty has focused on providing corporate and personal tax and consulting services to local businesses and individuals for the past 35 years. Managing partner Bill Pirolli will remain with the combined firm, and said in a statement that his firm has been positioning itself for a merger for several years.

The combined firm will operate out of DiSanto Priest’s Warwick offices.
