Sage adds Zapier to marketplace

Cloud accounting software developer Sage has added workflow automation platform Zapier to its Sage Marketplace.

Zapier lets users connect apps to automate manual tasks and create their own workflows without having to hire a developer. Through its partnership with Sage, Zapier will be able to work with the approximately 4,000 apps available to the accounting software company’s users in the U.S., Canada, the U.K. and Ireland.

“In partnership with Zapier, we are championing SMBs to realize the power of automation and their digital network so that they can focus on what matters most — their customers,” Alex Fawcett, senior director of ecosystem and technical fellow at Sage, said in a statement. “Sage Accounting customers can easily select pre-set workflows on the Sage Marketplace to quickly tackle their automation needs with Zapier. And we understand that every SMB is unique and so are their technology needs. Sage and Zapier deliver an end-to-end experience, also giving customers the option to request new integrations to apps their business already relies on, if it is currently unavailable.”

Zapier sees the arrangement as a way for customers to save time. “We’re thrilled to partner with Sage to provide our customers with more opportunities for automation,” Andrew Edelman, head of strategic and platform partnerships at Zapier, said in a statement. “Using Zapier, customers can create automated workflows between finance, sales, marketing, inventory and more. Ultimately, this will free up time so users can focus on the most impactful work for their businesses.”
