Sage Beefs Up Peachtree Line

Sage North America has introduced Peachtree 2011 and Peachtree Quantum 2011, with new features for service billing and job reporting at small businesses.

Peachtree 2011 includes features to help service businesses invoice customers for any unbilled time and expenses. Unbilled items can be filtered by date, customer or job, and outstanding time and expenses are then transferred directly to an invoice. A customized dashboard helps process large quantities of information about a single inventory item or a service.

Customizable job status indicators provide visual red, yellow or green “stoplights” for identifying what’s on or off track. Small businesses can delete, rename, or change the color-coded stoplight button attached to each status.

The higher-end Peachtree Quantum 2011 includes jobs management features to help small businesses take advantage of government stimulus opportunities, enabling them to track the data required to comply with federal project parameters.

The software includes a centralized dashboard that displays a complete list of jobs. Users can drill down for detail, and use new Job Status Indicators to view or sort the jobs by status. On-the-fly customized reports with real-time totals can be developed from job modules on the dashboard, based on what information is selected. The Job Profitability module provides comparisons of estimated vs. committed. Various filters can create hundreds of user-defined reports, all of which can be exported to Excel, PDF, or e-mail.

Small businesses can proactively manage projects with access to job information in one centralized place. A tab in the Job Navigation Center provides a customizable dashboard view of information.
