Sage Software has rolled out new versions of Sage MAS 90 and Sage MAS 200, the company’s enterprise resource planning software geared toward small and midsized companies.

New functions to Sage MAS 90 and Sage MAS 200 include the introduction of Business Insights Explorer, an analysis tool that helps users access their data in real-time through a single point of entry; a new user interface for the accounts payable module which includes a dual-grid entry screen and personalized report settings in an effort to give more control to the end user; and integration with the company’s three customer relationship management systems and other business management applications from Sage Software.

Version 4.2 also includes Sage’s new MAS Fixed Assets management module, allowing users to manage up to 1,500 assets from acquisition to disposal, according to Gerard Beaulieu, director of product marketing for Sage MAS products.

“BIE is probably the most exciting part,” Beaulieu said. “I truly believe it’s actually going to help them [users] change the way they go about their day-to-day. I think it’s going to automate what they may have done manually.”

Both MAS 90 and MAS 200 have the same functions, according to Beaulieu, the difference is in deployment. MAS 200 is geared towards companies who have been using MAS 90 but need a higher scale offering due to increased users or operations.
