Sage launches MAS 90/200

Business software developer Sage Software has unveiled updated versions of its mid-market enterprise resource planning systems, Sage MAS 90 and Sage MAS 200. The 4.1 versions offer features to streamline sales order entry and increase distribution workflow productivity, as well as to enhance business intelligence functionality and ease of use.The latest versions of the ERPs - directed at distribution and manufacturing companies - automate core accounting and e-commerce, and provide extended business intelligence tools along with reporting. The applications also include support for CRM, human resources and payroll.

Some of the new features include enhanced integration between sales order and job cost to enable additional invoicing methods such as retainer and cost-plus invoicing. Sage's Dual Grid interface is now included in the sales order entry and can be set with user-specific defaults for each field, while conversion of Business Frameworks, part of the user interface, allows users to search for information in any of the four key modules - accounts receivable, sales order, return merchandise authorization and bank reconciliation.

The four modules are now presented within the Crystal Reports viewer, which also has added a Save Report Settings feature. The modules now contain a memo manager, so users can attach customer information to appropriate records, and have enhanced three-level security controls to satisfy Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements, as well as more personalization features.
