Sage Rolls Out New Fundraising Software

Sage Software has unveiled the latest version of Sage Fundraising 100, its donor relationship management system for midsized and large nonprofit organizations.

The latest Sage Fundraising includes several enhancements, such as integration with Microsoft Outlook and enhanced grants management module functionality -- including general ledger integration with Sage’s Sage MIP Fund Accounting and other accounting systems.

The ad-hoc common receivables table contains the combined records for each pledge, gift, event, or membership to give customers easier access to this data for reports and criteria, while new data encryption capabilities help nonprofits comply with government privacy regulations by storing donors’ credit card, Social Security and bank account information in an encrypted format.

“As organizations’ needs change we need to be flexible enough to change with them,” said Heather Burton, product marketing manager of nonprofit solutions for Sage. “We look to our user groups to really make sure the product is delivering features that are timely for their needs of today and tomorrow.”

Burton said direct giving and integrated payment processing, where an organization can automatically deduct a donation from a donor’s credit card, is becoming a popular way to secure and sustain donors.

“Generations of former years do like writing checks,” Burton said. “[But now] it makes absolute sense organizations have a way to set up a reoccurring plan. This really allows organizations to use technology to streamline that process.”
