Sage Upgrades PFW

Sage Software updated its PFW ERP business management software with new interface updates, efficiency enhancements, and performance optimization features.

"This latest version of Sage PFW ERP reinforces our 'customer connected' philosophy--addressing the needs and wants of these clients with some of the most requested features, based on their feedback to us," said Sam Hunter, senior vice president and general manager of Sage Software's Value Business Unit.

Sage PFW ERP 5.6 includes a Caption Hyperlinks feature that allows users to more easily navigate file maintenance tables so they can move to another screen when needed. For example, when a customer service agent is on the phone, he or she can jump to another screen without minimizing the current one.

An Increased Customer Address Field Sizes feature supports longer street and mailing addresses, including international formats. A Find Historical data option uses templates to specify which information will be populated when pulling a record. The new data optimization features in Sage PFW 5.6 optimize data on all key paths, rebuilding data and reducing file sizes. Inventory Pro and MRP users can now optimize performance with the product's three-tier architecture. Tasks that are processed remotely can also be scheduled to run during off-peak hours.

The software includes new vendor status, customer status and order hold features. It also provides extra visibility into customers' credit histories with new credit-tracking fields and calculation features. Included too are extra auditing and data-tracking features. Another option retains the original invoice number when reprinting an invoice.

Sage PFW 5.6 supports the Windows Vista Business and Ultimate editions. Pricing starts at $10,000. For more information, contact www.sagepfw.com.
