San Francisco’s Shea Labagh Dobberstein CPAs Inc. has announced that it will acquire San Mateo, Calif.-based Elwood Espina Ferrell LLP.Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The merger will increase SLD's staff to 10 partners and 85 professionals, while enhancing the audit and tax practices of the firm, which was founded in 1944. The nearly 20-year-old EEF will bring a staff of 20, including three partners.
SLD managing director James Dobberstein said that the merger will greatly expands an already substantial footprint in the Bay Area. Both locations will remain open, as will a third office in Mill Valley, Calif.
