The Software and Information Industry Association - theprincipal trade association for the software and digital content industries --and cloud computing provider NetSuite are partnering to help educate softwarecompanies about new business models, expanding regulatory requirements, and thechallenging customer dynamics of the business software industry.
The two companies will host live and online seminars on arange of topics, including cloud-based accounting and financial management,marketing automation, litigation and regulatory compliance, and the most recentnew accounting standards, including the Financial Accounting Standards Boardrevenue recognition rules EITF 08-01 and EITF 09-03.
The first educational event, an online webinar titled"Survive and Thrive in the New Software Age" is scheduled for 11:00a.m. PDT, May 27, 2010.
"We want to be the de facto choice for growingcompanies who one day want to have an equity event," said David Appel,general manager of software industry solutions at NetSuite.
