SWK Expands Leadership Team

Sage developer and reseller SWK Technologies Inc. has brought Sam Hunter on board in the newly created position of executive vice president, customer experience.

Hunter was previously a senior vice president and general manager at Sage North America.

His background “adds a new dimension to SWK’s Executive Team, closing the gap by focusing more seriously on cross-selling opportunities, delivering migrations from older technologies to newer ones, improving the overall customer satisfaction of our installed base, and strengthening customer relationships,” SWK CEO Jeffrey Roth said in a statement. “Sam’s ten years at Sage as a product marketing manager, marketing and development strategist, and business intelligence expert, before becoming a general manager, add new layers of strength and depth to our organization.”

Hunter will manage C-level customer relations, customer account management, cross-selling initiatives and customer migrations. Calling him “the voice of the customer,” SWK COO Paul Frydman said, “Beyond that, customer support, product marketing and assisting SWK in moving forward with its new practice supporting government contractors will be on Sam’s plate over the next two years.”

“I’m extremely thrilled to be joining SWK,” Hunter said.  “I’ve worked closely with the team over the past several years while at Sage, and I firmly believe they have the right mixture of talent and skills to grow exponentially. Now is a very dynamic time in the industry, as evidenced by new products and services coming to market and customers’ expectations having shifted drastically in turn.”

A graduate of Harvard, Hunter will be based in both SWK’s Livingston headquarters and its new Bethesda, Md., regional office.

SWK is a Sage Authorized Business Partner, a Sage Gold Development Partner and a Sage Authorized Training Center, and developed MAPADOC Integrated EDI.
