Sage North America and NetSuite partner SWK Technologies has acquired the Sage business partner accounts of Dallas-based Point Solutions, retaining several personnel and approximately 20 accounts.
The deal itself provides SWK with a local presence in Texas, but also adds in Point Solutions’s Sage 100 and 500 business and allows for expansion of SWK’s ERP X3 business, according to chief executive Jeff Roth.
“Our goal has always been to create a national footprint with regional offices for our Sage ERP practice; this was a logical next step to help us achieve that goal,” said Roth. “[Point Solutions] also wanted to be involved with X3 and we are looking to grow that area of our business. We also get a great Sage 500 consultant in the deal.”
Point Solutions is also an Acumatica partner and an ISV, developing the Fusion Retail Management Systems platform.
SWK is also near to closing a other Sage partner acquisitions, with news on those expected in the coming weeks. In addition to Dallas, the firm now has offices in Livingston, N.J.; Syracuse, N.Y.; Buffalo, N.Y. Chicago; Minneapolis; and Ann Arbor, Mich.
