Tallie Hires Julie Carman to Head Biz Dev

SaaS expense management provider Tallie has hired Julie Carman as vice president of business development.

Recently serving as senior director of strategic alliances for Bill.com, where she led expansion of the company’s accountant channel and helped drive customer acquisition, Julie joins Tallie to grow business through strategic partnerships, accounting and BPO firms.

“Julie has a reputation for understanding the problems facing the accounting industry,” stated Tallie CEO Chris Farrell. “She knows our company and products well, and she excels at working across organizations to address the demanding needs of partners and clients. The combination of Julie’s entrepreneurial background, SaaS software and accounting expertise, and leadership experience in both SMB and large enterprise provides a perfect fit with Tallie's entrepreneurial culture and makes her ideally suited to help lead us to the next level of growth.”

With more than 25 years of experience in leadership and strategic growth planning, Carman also previously held executive positions at IBM and Sun Microsystems, pioneered venture-backed start-ups, and sold two companies. She holds a bachelor’s degree from University of California, Berkeley.

“I became captivated with Tallie and its vision as I worked closely with them as a strategic and technology partner while at Bill.com," stated Carman. “Tallie has built an amazing reputation for its cloud-based expense reports solution that is very simple to use, and its track record of consistently superior product expertise and customer support by some of the best talent in the industry. I am thrilled to be part of this dynamic team. The chance to join Tallie at this stage in its growth and development is the opportunity of a lifetime.”
