Taxware, a provider of global transaction tax calculation and compliance solutions, announced that its flagship products -- Taxware Enterprise and TaxSolver -- have achieved certification from the states that are members of the Streamlined Sales Tax Governing Board.
Taxware is the first company to gain both certified automated system and certified service provider status, providing businesses with a choice in how they wish to deploy certified sales tax compliance technology. Both models protect businesses from liability through use of state supplied data and ongoing testing and re-certification testing by state regulators.

"Whether a business chooses the CSP or CAS model, Taxware's certified solutions will help them reduce the burden of tax compliance on remote and point-of-sale transactions, provide more control over cash flow as it impacts transaction taxes, and support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley."
Now that Taxware has achieved CAS certification, businesses can license, install and operate Taxware Enterprise and TaxSolver inside their firewall. The products can offer users a new level of audit and liability protection to financial, accounting and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle and Oracle's PeopleSoft.
