Separately, the company said that users of its business software would be able to use a new module, Google OneBox for Enterprise, when searching business data across a company. Users can now simultaneously search for data within the NetSuite suites - searching their clients, vendors, items, events and transactions information - along with the Internet and other linked data sources using the Google search interface.
PARENTE RANDOLPH NAMES NEW CIO: Regional CPA and business advisory firm Parente Randolph has named Jason Hall to the post of chief information officer. Hall was most recently director of IT at Pinkerton Computer Consultants. Hall will be splitting his time between Parente Randolph's Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and Philadelphia offices, where his duties will include modernizing information technology within the organization, increasing services for the staff, and leading and implementing various strategic IT initiatives.
STELLENT ROLLS OUT SOX SOLUTION UPGRADE: Content management software provider Stellent Inc. has rolled out Version 7.6 of its Sarbanes-Oxley solution, a product designed to help companies streamline their compliance processes for SOX Sections 404 and 302. Specific additions to Version 7.6 of the Stellent Sarbanes-Oxley solution include:
* An enhanced master component library that provides the ability to store multiple libraries of controls, risks, assertions and attachments for centralized maintenance of shared components, with local variances where needed;
* An enhanced master process library - a set of processes that can be managed centrally while allowing local variances as necessary; and,
* Selective control testing that allows auditors to select a set of controls that may span multiple processes; create tests to be performed at the local organizational level; and bring forward select information from previous test results for use within current tests.
MOVARIS RELEASES NEWEST ONECLOSE: Movaris, a provider of risk management and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance software, has released the newest version of its proprietary solution, OneClose. New OneClose capabilities include the automatic generation of financial documents such as 10-Ks and 10-Qs, audit committee books and management reports; the creation of a comprehensive system of record for all "last mile" finance activities, documents and disclosures; and improved auditor/client collaboration.
The upgrade also includes a Securities and Exchange Commission checklist manager, which offers a preparation guide to the finance team for an audit review, and eBinders, an electronic system of record of all activities and documents so that external auditors can access a single repository.
CARTESIS ROLLS OUT CARTESIS 10: In a new offering designed to stress its benchmarking capabilities, financial software provider Cartesis announced the launch of Cartesis 10.
The software suite for business performance management integrates internal and external financial data for publication, benchmarking, and merger and acquisition planning. A new partnership with Edgar Online will also allow Cartesis customers to pull external financial data into the integrated suite of products to measure company performance and run "what-if" scenarios. The software also allows users to create and manipulate financial information formatted in the Extensible Business Reporting Language, or XBRL.
Cartesis 10 will be available in June.
