MICROSOFT'S DYNAMICS AX 2012 R3 NOW AVAILABLE

Redmond, Wash. -- Microsoft announced that Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 is now generally available in 36 countries. The update introduces a new end-to-end apps and services framework that enables businesses to develop and distribute modern apps for specific scenarios and mobile devices that can securely connect with Microsoft Dynamics AX.

 

AVALARA RELEASES FREE VERSION OF TRUSTFILE

Bainbridge Island, Wash. -- Cloud-based sales tax and compliance automation technology provider Avalara has introduced a free version of Avalara TrustFile, a new sales tax reporting and filing solution for online sellers.

 

XERO, H&R BLOCK FORM STRATEGIC ALLIANCE

San Francisco -- Xero and H&R Block have formed a strategic alliance to offer Xero as the core small-business online accounting platform in the consumer tax services provider's Small Business Program suite of services. Xero will be solely promoted as the recommended small-business online accounting solution in the H&R Block locations that sell the Small Business Program suite of services.

 

NETSUITE Q1 RESULTS ARE IN

San Mateo, Calif. -- Netsuite announced results for its first quarter ended March 31, 2014, reporting $123 million, a 34 percent increase over the same period the prior year. Cash flow from the cloud-based financials and ERP software provider were $19.1 million, up from $14.7 million over the prior year. On a GAAP basis, net loss was $22.2 million compared to a net loss of $13 million in the first quarter of 2013. Non-GAAP net income was $4.4 million compared to $2.8 million in Q1 of 2013.

 

XBRL US OFFERS U.S. GAAP PENSION ANALYZER TOOL

New York -- XBRL US has published the U.S. GAAP Pension Analyzer, an online tool that runs a set of rules against the pension disclosure within an XBRL-formatted financial statement, which is free to public company reporting managers. Companies can upload filings through a secure system to the Pension Analyzer.
