Texas CPA Society Debuts Animated Student Site

The Texas Society of CPAs opened an interactive section of its Web site called Destination CPA aimed at high school and college students.

The site, at http://go.tscpa.org/, is designed as a virtual road trip, showing an animated driving route that students can take to become certified public accountants. The roadmap includes stops like High School Hills, College Canyon and Candidate Cove.

Students can sit back and take the guided tour or drive themselves along the road. On the way, they can stop at a drive-in to watch a video on accounting careers, or drop by the Visitor's Bureau to download some brochures from the TSCPA.

The site includes features for accounting educators as well as students. Both can stop by a virtual gas station where they can access links to lesson plans, scholarship information, guest speaker requests and career videos.
