Texas CPAs Renovate Online Tech ‘Community’

The Texas CPA Society has redesigned its online Information Technology Community to help its members prepare for newer technologies such as social media.

Members of the society can visit specific “neighborhoods” in the community dedicated to topics such as enterprise resource planning software, Microsoft Excel, technology implementation, social media, information security, and governance, risk and compliance. Each neighborhood includes information on the subject in the form of articles, videos and links to outside content. The neighborhoods also list related continuing professional education content.

An “ask a question” section is available for asking a member of the IT Community for advice. In addition, each neighborhood provides a place where CPAs can communicate with each other and share their expertise on given issues.
