Thomson Tax & Accounting, a unit of Thomson Corp., announced that it has acquired Scottsdale, Ariz.-based ePropertyTax Inc. -- a business that offers a range of property tax solutions by licensing its proprietary software to outsourcing compliance services.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Thomson said that the acquisition allows TTA to solidify its position as a provider of end-to-end tax software and compliance services. The ePropertyTax software already aligns with Thomson’s Tax & Accounting’s software and services for income tax, transaction tax, trust and 1099 solutions. The hope is that the deal will provide TTA with a critical property tax component and enhance the company’s position in the corporate tax market.
