Tipalti adds new features to AP solution

Tipalti, a software company that specializes in accounts payable and global partner payments workflows, announced new features in its accounts payable automation solution that enhance its communications and documentation capabilities.

The two new features are called Bill Talk and Bill Docs.

Bill Talk will allow customers to message via chats with approvers, tag-team members within a bill, automatically send emails to tagged users, and reply to tags via email without needing to log into Tipalti.

Bill Docs, meanwhile, sports features that enable users to upload and review bill-related documents, access documents via Tipalti’s approval email without the need for a login, pin relevant documents to bills such as a contract or receipt, attach documents to messages in Bill Talk, and attach the body of an email automatically.

Tipalti developed the new features because most dialogue between buyers and approvers takes place outside the context of the bill itself, which can sometimes lead to issues with tracking questions and answers, repeated back and forth interactions, and delays.

“The AP process has historically been the most time-consuming function in finance,” said Roby Baruch, chief product officer at Tipalti. “One of the key pain points finance teams cite is the chaotic back and forth of invoice approvals. These features are the latest example of how Tipalti is reshaping how businesses manage their financial operations by eliminating manual, burdensome processes.”
