Thomson Tax & Accounting has acquired the Employee Benefits Institute of America Inc., an Edmonds, Wash.-based provider of benefits research and guidance to corporations and advisory firms.
Terms were not disclosed.
EBIA will be folded into TTA’s Research and Guidance Business, and its employee benefits content will be integrated into TTA’s flagship Checkpoint platform.
EBI will remain in Washington and come under the purview of Mark Schlageter, president of TTA’s research and guidance unit.
