Vertex SMB, sales and use tax solutions provider for small and medium-sized business, and integrated business technology solutions provider and Sage Software business partner Net@Work announced a strategic partnership to bring a sales and use tax solution to the small and middle market.
Built on Vertex software, Vertex SMB TaxCentral provides small and medium-sized businesses with a solution that integrates with mid-market ERP systems and ecommerce platforms. Net@Work specializes in consulting and implementation of ERP, CRM, and HRMS solutions.
The sales and use tax solution requires no upfront investment, relying on a consumption model Alex Solomon, cofounder of Net@Work, described as a “life-changing business” for small businesses and the resellers on their accounts that, under this model, will be paid in perpetuity.
As sales tax becomes a necessity for many ecommerce companies, Net@Work saw the potential in working with Vertex to bring the solution to SMB clients, according to Solomon.
Vertex SMB, which serves the majority of the Fortune 500, also viewed the partnership as a great opportunity to break into the Sage ecosystem, according to Bradd Wildstein, director of channel sales.
