Weaver Merges with Midland Office of Killman Murrell

Weaver LLP merged with the Midland, Texas, office of Killman, Murrell & Company, P.C., effective Friday.

“We are pleased to have the Midland location of Killman, Murrell & Company join Weaver. Wayne Murrell has many years of oil and gas industry knowledge and extensive experience providing clients with tax, accounting and advisory services,” said Larry Edgerton the Midland and Odessa executive partner for Weaver, in a statement. “This enhances the services the firm can offer to the Midland and Odessa business community, and we look forward to having Wayne and his staff as part of Weaver.”

Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed.

Founded in 1987 in Odessa, Killman, Murrell & Company is a regional accounting firm that provides audit, accounting, tax planning and preparation, advisory  and due diligence services. The firm has built its reputation serving both public and private companies throughout Texas and the United States.
Murrell joins the firm as a partner in Weaver’s Tax and Strategic Business Services practice. He and his team will be located in the firm’s Midland office at 400 West Illinois, Suite 1550.

“Our clients will greatly benefit from the additional resources and depth of experience that Weaver provides,” Murrell said in a statement. “We are better positioned to serve a growing number of businesses in Midland and Odessa, and to continue building upon the long-term relationships we have with our current clients.”
