Weaver's Smith Named ASWA Regional Director

Jeanne A. Smith, CPA and tax and strategic business services partner at Weaver, has been appointed to a two-year term as a national regional director of the American Society of Women Accountants.

Regional directors are liaisons between the national ASWA board and the local chapter presidents. A past chapter president herself, Smith will be working with the Central Arkansas, Dallas, Fort Worth and DFW/Mid-Cities Chapters in the South Central Region, and the West Palm Beach, Fla., chapter in the Southeast Region.

"We are proud of Jeanne, her many accomplishments and her involvement with ASWA," said Weaver managing partner and CEO Tommy D. Lawler. "She represents our firm well, and we know ASWA will benefit from her extensive knowledge and leadership experience."

Smith has more than 30 years of public accounting experience, and focuses on tax consulting and compliance for corporations and partnerships, as well as individuals. She is also a frequent speaker on tax matters, both locally and throughout the state. She holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington.
