WeiserMazars LLP has merged in Biscotti, Toback & Company, expanding the firm’s presence in Long Island and industry expertise in providing accounting services for food and beverage companies.

Biscotti Toback, based in Garden City, N.Y., is a regional firm that specializes in the food and beverage industry. A team of eight partners, including managing partner and CEO Louis Biscotti, and more than 30 staff members from Biscotti Toback will join WeiserMazars’ Long Island practice, based in Lake Success, N.Y., making it one of the biggest accounting firms on Long Island. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Lou Biscotti and his team are among the most highly regarded leaders in accounting and advisory services for Long Island's substantial food and beverage sector,” said WeiserMazars LLP managing partner Douglas A. Phillips in a statement. “Bringing this experienced team into our manufacturing and distribution group broadens and deepens WeiserMazars' service offering and positions our Long Island office for future growth.”

Biscotti Toback’s clients include Kozy Shack Enterprises, J. Kings Food Service Professionals, Porky Products, Intercounty Appliance Corporation, Imperial Bag and Paper, A&Z Pharmaceuticals, Fruitcrown Products, and Citrus and Allied Essences.

Biscotti noted that WeiserMazars’ national reach would enhance his firm’s client service capabilities, while his firm’s food and beverage expertise would supplement WeiserMazars’ manufacturing and distribution practice.
