Top 50 Firm Whitley Penn acquired Toombs, Hall & Foster, based in Addison, Texas, effective Jan. 1.
Toombs, Hall & Foster specializes in real estate, construction, oil and gas, professional services, retail, wholesale, manufacturing and nonprofit organizations. With 28 staff members, the firm primarily serves clients based in Texas and the Southwest.

Whitley Penn ranked No. 34 on Accounting Today's Top 100 Firms list, reporting $238 million in revenue. It is based in Fort Worth Texas with nine offices, 94 partners and roughly 850 employees. It provides tax, audit and advisory services to clients in the Southwest.
