Wiley, Acadient Partner on New Online Exam Review

Publisher John Wiley & Sons Inc., which publishes CPA Exam review books, has moved its test prep online via a partnership with Acadient, a Boston-based developer and distributor of online learning.

The newly launched Wiley CPA e-Prep, created by accounting educator and Wiley author Ray Whittington, includes study material and practice exams from the four exam sections -- Regulation, Auditing and Attestation, Financial Accounting and Reporting, and Business Environment and Concepts.

According to the companies, Acadient's proprietary technology will identify a student's strengths and weaknesses and will adjust the focus of the practice questions to help improve specific scores. Students can also use the Custom Exam Builder feature to focus on specific areas by building their own practice exams.

Other features include real-time scoring and statistics, the ability to save results and data in each section, and the ability to compare results to previous exercises, as well as to other students using the coursework.

In addition, the online course includes daily tips on how to study and how best to take the CPA exam; the opportunity to participate in threaded discussion groups with other Wiley CPA e-Prep users; and downloadable simulations.

The Wiley CPA e-Prep is available at www.cpaeprep.com. The introductory price is $99 per month. The company is currently offering a three-day free trial.
