Wipfli Adds Life Sciences Practice

Milwaukee-headquartered CPA and consulting firm Wipfli LLP has formalized its past work with medical device companies by adding a life sciences practice.

“While the firm has served life sciences companies for over 80 years, we saw a need to carve out this industry practice, increasing our focus on the medical device industry to help these organizations thrive,” said partner Ron Hafner in a statement.

Hafner and his fellow partner Mark Stevens led the growth of this practice niche, which the company says will offer accounting, tax and consulting services through every stage of development in the life cycle.

“This expanded practice will greatly benefit Wipfli’s medical device clients through the increased focus on their needs,” Stevens said in a statement.
Wipfli ranked 27th on Accounting Today’s 2010 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $114.69 million.

Founded in 1930, the firm has 950 associates in 21 offices in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Washington and India.
