Xcentric Acquires InfoTech Partners

CPA-focused consulting firm and hosting service Xcentric said Monday it has completed the purchase of technology consultancy InfoTech Partners North America, bringing on board prominent consultant Roman Kepczyk.

The acquisition, which closed March 1, will enable Xcentric to build up its own consulting division, Xcentric Consulting Services.

Xcentric has tapped ITPNA head Kepczyk to be director of Xcentric Consulting Services and increase Xcentric’s overall presence in the accounting industry.

“In the realm of technology and in the accounting profession, Roman is known as one of the great strategists and advisors to the industry,” said Xcentric president and chief executive Trey James. “We believe in integrity and we believe in service excellence—Roman and Xcentric fit together perfectly. Most consultants can provide the ‘what’ of change, but rarely can they provide the ‘how-to’ part of the equation. We believe the marriage of Roman Kepczyk/ITPNA and Xcentric will result in an unequalled set of capabilities in the accounting profession.”

Xcentric and ITPNA have worked together as separate entities for the past nine years to provide business and technology guidance to CPA firms.
