Xero, Shopify Unveil Integration

Xero and Shopify announced an integrated solution enabling the ecommerce software's merchant customers to track their business financials using Xero.

By streamlining the commerce and accounting processes, the integration will eliminate the need to manually transfer data between front-end and back-end systems, enabling Shopify merchants to transfer ecommerce storefront, point-of-sale and mobile transactions directly from Shopify to Xero.

Additionally, the integration will give users the ability to:

  • Quickly import orders from Shopify into Xero as invoices
  • Have tax rates synced
  • Automatically categorize sales
  • Have real-time visibility into business performance

“The combined Xero and Shopify solution is designed to automate and help streamline business and accounting processes for hard working retailers in advance of the busy holiday season,” stated Russ Fujioka, U.S. president at Xero.
The integration is now available in the U.S. and Canada and is expected to be rolled out in the U.K., Australia and New Zealand later this year.

“This integration is the result of a great collaboration between Xero and Shopify,” stated Harley Finkelstein, chief platform officer of Shopify. “We’re really excited for this launch as we know how much value this app can provide to  both Shopify merchants and Xero advisors."
