New York (Nov. 26, 2003) -- Joseph D. Zarkowski, of Mahoney Cohen & Co., CPAs, has been appointed chairman of the new SEC Committee for BKR International, a global association of accounting and management consulting firms.
The association’s SEC Committee was formed to address the impact of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. The committee also provides a forum to review regulations and concerns for member firms providing SEC compliance and corporate governance services.
Zarkowski currently leads Mahoney Cohen’s Public Company Services Group and has extensive accounting and auditing experience, as well as providing consulting services to public and privately held companies in the wholesale distribution, manufacturing, technology, medical devices and pharmaceutical industries.
