Getting ready to AAM

The Association for Accounting Marketing Summit is next week in Washington D.C. and I want to know – who’s going?

There’s a stacked agenda for the four day event taking place June 22 to 25 at the Grand Hyatt. The pre-conference, which starts Tuesday, includes a session by Twitter Queen Jessica Levin on how to use the social networking tool to maximize the conference experience.

The keynote speakers is Sean McArdle, a motivational speaker, who will address how to master the challenge of change and build a firm-wide customer retention culture. There are panels; sessions focused on business development and lead generation, refining the marketing plan and niche development. There is also an AAM executive track designed for those marketers with more than 10 years of experience.

And, of course, the association will host its annual gala and give out its awards and recognitions.

I imagine there will also be talk about the organization’s recent announcement of their committee restructuring effective next month that will break its internal volunteer structure down into two units – education and membership.

Are you going? Drop me a line and let me know. I can be reached at liz.gold@sourcemedia.com.
