ICPAS honors top CPA Exam test-takers with 2016 'Excel Awards'

The Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS) announced on Thursday the winners of the Society's annual Excel Awards, recognizing young CPAs and their notable achievement on the 2015 CPA Exam.

“We are proud to present our 2016 Excel Awards to these outstanding young professionals,” said Todd Shapiro, CEO of the ICPAS, in a statement. “Passing the CPA Exam is a tremendous achievement on its own, and to do so with such high scores is an incredible accomplishment that few achieve. We congratulate them and look forward to their journey in becoming future leaders of our profession.”

Established in 1984 by the ICPAS Board of Directors, the Excel Awards are awarded each year to new CPAs for their outstanding performance on the Uniform CPA Examination. In order to be considered, candidates must achieve a combined average score of 90% or above on all sections of the Exam within two consecutive testing windows, as well as being in the top five percent of Illinois scores.
