Why Bother Becoming a CPA?

Our Facebook friend Jane Lee of the Ohio Society of CPAs shared a link touting the benefits of becoming a CPA.

It's written by the author of a CPA prep course, so it's bound to be slanted toward the positive.

Most of it ties back to cash and how quickly exam-takers can see a return on an investment in the form of increased salaries.

For example, once accountants become licensed CPAs, their entry-level earning potential increases by as much as 15 percent over uncertified accounting professionals, according to the 2008 Robert Half Salary Guide cited by the author, Rogher Philipp.
