Small business-focused cloud and iPad-centric accounting software developer Kashoo has hired former FreshBooks accounting ambassador Kasey Bayne as its new director of business development.

In her new role, Bayne will run Kashoo’s partnership development strategies and execution as well as help grow the company and product’s awareness among small business owners, accountants and bookkeepers. She admits the position will have its challenges, mainly creating greater brand and product awareness, but was “excited” about the new opportunity.
“I had a great run at FreshBooks and I can’t say enough good things about them, but I get to do some great things at Kashoo where I’ll be taking on more of a leadership role and really be a part of helping to build the company,” said Bayne. “I’ve been aware [of Kashoo] for some time and one of the great things I admired is they have an amazing iPad app. They are well into the mobile space and can do full accounting wherever you are as well as lots of great things for bookkeepers. It’s a really solid product and I’m here to help make people more aware of it.”
Bayne will also play an active role in the Kashoo Most Valuable Professional Program, an exclusive package launched in June specifically for professional accountants and bookkeepers. With the Kashoo MVP Program, accountants and bookkeepers get an Accountants Edition of Kashoo’s cloud-based accounting software in which they can manage the business records of up to 20 clients in real-time. Program members also receive a professionally branded client login page; Kashoo Web and iPad apps for all clients; training, webinars and unlimited technical support; and company promotion via a monthly e-newsletter and other Kashoo channels.
Kashoo claims it is used by over 51,000 small business owners, startups, entrepreneurs, freelancers, bookkeepers and accountants in over 180 countries. The company also boasts that it is the most downloaded accounting iPad app in the Apple App Store.
