Avalara Partners with MACPA

Avalara, cloud-based tax and compliance automation technology provider, has formed a strategic alliance with the Maryland Association of CPAs to provide its more than 9,000 CPA members access to Avalara’s educational resources and partnering programs.

Under this new agreement, MACPA members will have unlimited, free access to up-to-date sales and use tax and related educational resources to help assist clients and their employers. They can also take advantage of specific partnering programs designed by Avalara to help differentiate their services.

“Alliances with cloud-based software solution providers like Avalara are increasingly important to our members, both in public practice and in business and industry, who need better information in technical areas such as sales and use tax reporting and compliance,” stated MACPA CEO Tom Hood. “By making its Accountants Resource Center available to our members, Avalara provides a great example of how our vendor partners can help all of our members achieve better results on a day-to-day out basis.”

“Our newly-expanded partnership with MACPA reflects Avalara’s ongoing efforts to provide industry leading sales tax knowledge and resources to CPAs across the country,” stated Marshal Kushniruk, executive vice president of global business development at Avalara. “Our aim is to be the industry leader in educating and supporting accounting professionals in all aspects of sales and use tax compliance, including providing timely legislative updates. Our alliance with the Maryland Association is another important step in our strategy of forming meaningful and productive relationships with all of the state CPA societies.”
