Intuit announced the acquisition of on-demand marketplace solution Playbook HR, as well as nine new apps that integrate with QuickBooks Online.
Playbook HR manages the hiring, on-boarding and compliance needs of independent contractors. With the acquisition, Intuit looks to build on its existing solutions for the on-demand economy, including QuickBooks Self Employed. Under Intuit, Playbook HR will continue to serve its customer base with plans to integrate it with QuickBooks Online Self Employed to provide end-to-end compliance for the on-demand workforce.
As Intuit’s sixth acquisition this fiscal year, Playbook HR joins Porticor, ZeroPaper, Acrede, Paysuite and KDK.
On the app front, the Intuit Developer Group added the following to integrate with QBO:
