Intuit Releases QuickBooks Accountant Desktop 2016

Intuit released QuickBooks Accountant Desktop 2016, with new batch transaction, bill tracking and membership features.

QuickBooks Accountant and QuickBooks Enterprise now include a batch delete/void transactions option, accessible from the menu bar, enabling users to filter and select transactions to void or delete. The type of transactions that can be voided or deleted are invoices, checks and bills, and users have the option of backing up the data before removing it. Once the process is completed, a notification is sent that links to a summary report.

QuickBooks Desktop 2016 also features a new bill tracker with a single, real-time dashboard to view data for money-out transactions. The dashboard aggregates multiple reports for all vendors, with the option to drill down into single vendors. The data is also filterable by vendor, type of transaction, status of transactions and date range.

With the latest QuickBooks Enterprise, users can use the new advanced reporting feature to build, share and combine reports; discover insights with interactive visualizations; and see summary and detail information.

Intuit also unveiled a new Windows app for QuickBooks Online, accessible and with collaborative functionality across multiple devices. The app has keyboard shortcuts, multi-window views, auto refresh capability, and the option to print directly from the app.

With these releases, Intuit also introduced a ProAdvisor Premium program designed for accountants supporting clients on QBO, QB Desktop, QB Enterprise, QB Desktop Mac and QB Point of Sale, offered for $549 per year.
