Intuit Rolls Out New Features, Programs at QB Connect

Intuit announced new QuickBooks features, investments and partner programs at the QuickBooks Connect conference Nov. 2-4 in San Jose, Calif.

The company launched a new developer partner program, accelerating the developer experience and tools the company introduced at its inaugural QuickBooks Connect last year.

The partner program will provide developers with access to more than one million small business customers receiving a more personalized QuickBooks App Store experience. Qualified developers will also have the opportunity to increase their marketing budget, with Intuit doubling the funds invested by qualified developers, starting at $20,000 for a $10,000 developer investment and up to $40,000 for a $20,000 developer.

The developer program has four different tiers, with developers given the opportunity to grow within the program and gain more incentives, rewards and support as customer numbers increase.

“Our new developer partner program is all about capitalizing on the huge momentum we’re seeing on our QuickBooks Apps Store so developers have the marketing support they need to reach our global base of small business customers,” stated Avi Golan, vice president and general manager of the Intuit Developer Group. “We’ve already turned QuickBooks into an open platform with best-in-class developer tools and a dynamic apps store – now we’re taking things to the next level by partnering with developers so that they can deliver new solutions that will make business more efficient, successful, and prosperous.”

Among the new QuickBooks partnerships and capabilities announced was the American Express OPEN app, Connect to QuickBooks, enabling enrolled OPEN Card members to automatically transfer and categorize expenses in QuickBooks.

“This new bank feeds technology is all about leveraging the power of our platform to save small businesses time by automating the process of entering data into QuickBooks,” stated Golan. “We’re pleased to be working with American Express to enable American Express OPEN Card Members to be the first to benefit from this new technology. This is a great example of how our open platform approach allows us to partner with leading companies who can help small businesses be more efficient and effective.”

The Connect to QuickBooks from American Express OPEN is the first to leverage Intuit’s bank feeds solution, designed to enable financial institutions to create custom apps to connect customer transactions to QuickBooks.

Additionally, Intuit rolled unveiled a new Trial Balance feature and rolled out a new ProAdvisor partnership with Fathom.
