Crowe Horwath in ‘Balance’ with Women

Two women’s programs at Crowe Horwath were recognized recently by The American Society of Women Accountants Educational Foundation – and have been named its Celebrating Dimensions of Success National Balance Award winner.

The Balance Awards, which also consist of local and regional awards, recognize those companies that implement policies, initiatives and programs that promote work/life balance, while providing leadership and mentoring opportunities for women who are involved in the financial issues facing their communities.

The firm’s Women into Leadership (WIL) program and the Women’s People Resource Network (WPRN) were the initiatives recognized.

Crowe’s WIL program promotes career advancement and development among women leaders and includes assigning personal career sponsors and leadership development forums. The program also provides women opportunities to participate in specialized peer interest groups addressing issues such as caring for aging parents, managing extensive travel or participating in a flexible work arrangement.

The WPRN exists to support individuals with similar backgrounds and promote diversity – even though the group is open to everyone in the firm. It provides forums for networking, mentoring and general support for members. It focuses on work/life integration, career development and community development.
