RSM McGladrey Mid-Atlantic’s Holiday Party Alternative

December 16, 2009

The Mid-Atlantic offices of RSM McGladrey are doing something different this year for the holidays in response to the challenges brought on by the recession – instead of hosting their regular holiday parties they are donating money and resources to local food banks.

Through its Community Service Initiative, the firm’s offices in that region will hold a series of community service events with the aim of trying to ease hunger.

Additional food will be bought for the banks, which will then be sorted and packed by the firm’s employee volunteers.

“The firm believes that this is a wonderful opportunity for our combined organization, across all offices in the region, to do something meaningful for those less fortunate in our communities,” said Matt Hemelt, partner and mid-Atlantic community service team leader.
