Where are the CPAs who Ride Harleys?

February 23, 2010

Steve Purdy is a Harley Davidson-riding CPA in Shockoe Slip, Va. who was recently profiled in the Richmond Times-Dispatch, where he said, “Not many CPAs I know are into them.”

Perhaps other CPAs who ride should get in touch with Purdy?

It’s a short profile, but interesting nonetheless, as we learn Purdy, who is 28, focused on accounting at James Madison University because he wanted to work for the FBI.

He didn’t get to the FBI, though – instead he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in McLean and then switched to a competitor, Ernst & Young, where he worked until this month when he joined Meadows Urquhart Acree & Cook in Richmond. There he’ll focus on taxation of hedge funds, partnerships and consolidated entities, according to the profile.

And, in his spare time, he’ll ride his Harley. Read the profile here.
