Froehling Anderson wins award for worksite wellness

Minneapolis-based Froehling Anderson was recognized with the Gold Wellness by Design Worksite Award, the highest honor granted by Hennepin County.

The firm won the award based on several of its achievements:
•    Establishing a wellness mission statement.
•    Forming a wellness committee with a budget.
•    Conducting health risk assessments.
•    Providing access to a blood-pressure machine, scale, fresh apples and health reminders on the bulletin board.
•    Distributing wellness bags and supplying healthy food options during busy season.
•    Offering Wii and other physical activities to get people up and out of their desk for a break.
•    Offering flu shots, hand sanitizers and flu-prevention reminders during flu season.
•    Facilitating a weight loss challenge during busy season.
•    Bringing in a massage therapist twice during busy season.

The Wellness by Design Award honors organizations in Hennepin County that promote safe and healthy lifestyles. The award recognizes structured, innovative and effective approaches that influence healthy behaviors. There are three categories of the award: Gold, Silver and Bronze.
